The Germination of an Idea
I have often thought of doing something like this: showcasing the various flowers and plants found in extraordinary settings. In themselves, such discoveries are beautiful and inspirational - a tiny joy to be tucked away and saved for later. And then the blogosphere arrived, and herein I have the perfect opportunity to follow through on my little idea. This simple Lungwort (Pulmonaria) was found at a house where I used to cat sit. She had a very small garden, and this plant must have escaped its narrow boundaries to nestle close to the house. A seed blew into the crack one day, waited until the right moment, germinated, and voila - a new plant. So amazing - a tiny miracle.
